AxisAI Rotary Chair Vestibular Testing & Rehabilitation

AxisAI is a multi-axis rotary chair system used in our Nashville clinic to deliver objective vestibular testing and rehabilitation directly in the chair. It helps us identify and retrain the neurologic drivers of dizziness, imbalance, and visual-vestibular symptoms.

Who AxisAI Testing and Rehab Can Help

People we commonly see have:

  • Persistent vertigo or dizziness
Especially if it lasts weeks/months, comes in spells, or returns after “normal” testing (often seen in PPPD, vestibular hypofunction, or central vertigo).

  • Imbalance or unsteadiness
Feeling off-balance when walking, turning, in the dark, or on uneven ground — common with unilateral/bilateral vestibular loss.

  • Dizziness triggered by head movement or position changes
Like rolling in bed, looking up/down, or bending over — classic for
    BPPV and canal-specific deficits.

  • Visual motion sensitivity
Symptoms worsened by screens, scrolling, grocery aisles, driving, crowds,
or patterned floors — common in visual-vestibular mismatch and PPPD.

  • Post-concussion dizziness or brain fog
Especially when vestibular and visual systems do not re-integrate smoothly after injury.

  • “Lightheaded,” “floating,” or “rocking” sensations
When it feels like swaying, bobbing, or being on a boat rather than spinning — often reported in MdDS and PPPD.

  • Recurrent falls or fear of falling
Even if strength is good — frequently tied to vestibular tracking or sensory-integration issues.

  • Neck-related dizziness
When dizziness is paired with neck injury, whiplash, or chronic cervical tension (can overlap with vestibular dysfunction).

  • Migraine-associated dizziness / vestibular migraine
Vertigo with headaches or vertigo without headache but with a migraine history.

  • Symptoms that persist despite normal imaging
MRI/CT can be normal in vestibular disorders — AxisAI looks at function, not just structure.

What Makes AxisAI the Most Advanced Vestibular Assessment & Rehabilitation Tool

Most clinics only evaluate the horizontal semicircular canals. AxisAI evaluates all three canal pairs (six canals total), creating a complete, multi-axis map of vestibular function and revealing deficits that standard testing can miss. AxisAI also lets us deliver precisely calibrated vestibular and visual rehabilitation in the chair using the same systems we measure, so therapy is matched to your exact deficits and adjusted as you improve. AxisAI is among the most advanced vestibular platforms available today, used by a small number of specialized centers worldwide.
