About Dr. Emily Burgess

Emily Burgess, DC, RN

Emily Burgess, DC was born and raised in Nashville, TN. She began her healthcare career at Middle Tennessee State University and completed her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree in 2005. While working at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, she worked in the adult MICU and cared for patients with extreme illness and complex conditions. After a few years of strenuous work in the hospital setting, as well as working as a travel nurse in California and Virginia, Dr. Emily started experiencing significant back pain.

She began receiving chiropractic care and the results were life changing. She not only healed her back without the use of drugs and surgery but was inspired to help others do the same. Dr. Emily studied and obtained her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Life University in Atlanta, GA in 2013. After graduation, she took a big leap and moved to Oslo, Norway where she established a clinic to provide chiropractic care for 5 years.

She returned to Nashville in 2019 and feels great to be back home. She serves her local community by bringing her nursing education, as well as expertise in additional healing modalities that include dry needling, class IV laser treatment, and spinal decompression.

Utilizing her expertise and training, she has helped many with common sports injuries, sciatica, disc herniations, carpal tunnel, tendinitis, migraines, frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, TMJ, torticollis, and scoliosis. She enjoys seeing her patients benefit from the improved quality of life they experience from chiropractic care.

She is also passionate about treating infants, pediatrics, pregnancy and women's health. She has provided chiropractic care to many families and babies who have reported relief of colic, breastfeeding issues, constipation, and ear infections. Dr. Emily believes everyone should have access to chiropractic care for preventative and relief healthcare.
